Automation sucks

My cable TV freezes up constantly. It started about 3 days ago. The picture and sound freeze, and I get a notification on the screen that the box cannot communicate with the server. So I pull out the app, and it walks me through the troubleshooter. Rebooting the cable box, which takes from 5 to 8 minutes fixes it, so the troubleshooter senses that the box is online again, and shuts off.

Less than an hour later, the same thing. Try the app again, and you get the idea.

So I try to call. No number to call. I try the website, and it puts me on with the same automated troubleshooter.

I am wondering if I simply stop paying the bill, if an actual person will call.
