About Facebook jail

One of the businesses that I own is a paying advertiser on Facebook. In order to manage my PAID advertising, I need access to my Facebook accounts. I was released from Facebook jail for exactly one day, and then received a SECOND ban, this one for 30 days. This is unacceptable. I know that a large company like that doesn't care about me and my small company, but effective immediately, I am cutting all ties between my business and Facebook. Not one more dime.

I have posted that pic several times and no gulag. I don't get their process

I think that someone needs to complain. Then a person who works for FB reviews it and decides if a ban is worthy.

Since it is an entirely subjective process that is based upon the opinion of the person who complains and the person at FB who reviews it, all you need is a snowflake and an SJW in those two positions and you are toast.

And in some cases they are judging not by content but by perceived intent. So you get somebody that has a hate on for you and they will do searches to find other content that "as a whole" shows you are guilty of bad think.

I think businesses need to ask themselves if they're really getting their money's worth out of advertising on Facebook. It's progressively becoming (yes, I used that word deliberately) an echo chamber that will only appeal to SJW leftists and snowflakes.

If/when it gets to the point that the majority of people who disagree with this arbitrary "jailing" of users drop their accounts, and the vast majority of users are happy with jailing, the only people you'll be advertising to are SJW leftists and snowflakes.

I've always believed one of the cardinal rules of business is "don't piss off your customers". It seems all of social media is ignoring that.

Social media needs you much more than you need them. Get off social media, starve the beast and it will die.

I can tell you from what I have seen that FB ads are poorly focused and often delivered to irrelevant people. I get what should be hyperlocal ads from businesses across 3 states, some of which are of only local interest yet are served to someone (me) who lives over 200 miles away.

I haven't seen an article on it recently, but I know that FB has been hemorrhaging users over the last couple of years and there are very few under 25 active users; they have moved on to newer apps, often based on videos and cell phones. One example I've heard mentioned many times recently is Tik-Tok.

As you say, arbitrary and punitive actions like this are going to reduce their customer base and to me they appear to be intended to please a small but vocal left wing audience. These actions are also likely to draw more or the regulation they appear to be trying to avoid.
