Garbage passing as education

Do you want to know why college degrees are now worthless? This is what passes for education now: A paper written by the associate director of the Wellesley Collage Center for Research on Women, Peggy McIntosh. The title of the paper is: White Privilege and Male Privilege: A Personal Account of Coming To See Correspondences through Work in Women's Studies.

An excerpt:
Thinking through unacknowledged male privilege as a phenomenon, I realized that, since hierarchies in our society are interlocking, there is most likely a phenomenon of white privilege that was similarly denied and protected. As a white person, I realized I had been taught about racism as something that puts others at a disadvantage, but had been taught not to see one of its corollary aspects, white privilege, which puts me at an advantage.

This is the stuff that people in Women's Studies majors are learning. This is what the "Justice for Trayvon" people are quoting as their argument. Welcome to the crazy years.
