The dole

Fact of the day: 80% of the children born in New Orleans are funded by Medicaid. In fact, 24% of the population is covered by Medicaid, at an annual cost of $4.4 billion.

Do you mean billion? The whole economy is only around $14T.

$14 billion here, $14 billion there, pretty soon you're talking real money.

This won't be the case for long. At this rate of spending, the economy is going to collapse soon enough.

It's New Orleans. Were you expecting something different? Most of Lousiana is on Gov't aid.
