“Unhappy it is, though, to reflect that a brother’s sword has been sheathed in a brother’s breast and that the once-happy plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?” - George Washington, 1777

Fifteen Years
It was fifteen years ago today that my father passed on. I still miss him.
Only two years for me, and I dreamed about him yesterday. He walked into the room and I put my hands on his back and I could feel him. Then I woke up crying.
The intense memory/or visitation or whatever is great, the waking up, not so much.
