“Unhappy it is, though, to reflect that a brother’s sword has been sheathed in a brother’s breast and that the once-happy plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?” - George Washington, 1777

Only in Florida
Only in Florida, do you see a spaceship and a cruise ship in the same port of call...
To the right of that picture is a Navy submarine basin, so it's possible to see a cruise ship, a returning Falcon booster and a nuclear sub in the same shot. Some day we'll probably see one, considering how SpaceX seems to have gotten pretty good at landing on that barge.
Back around 84 or so, my wife and I were fishing the port in my old center console boat. We were out at the jetties near the entrance to the port. Turned around to see a sub on the surface coming into the port. Now I know that thing hadn't surfaced right behind us; the channel is only 40' deep, but it sure did seem to appear out of nowhere!
Unfortunately, while it was always "keep out if a sub is in the basin", the basin has been closed to the public since 9/11. Friends say the vertical walls in that basin used to offer good fishing.
