I am not normally one of those people who believes in conspiracies. However, the
unexpected death of a person who is making waves and affecting changes in how the powers that be do business is certainly suspicious. I have often wondered what a purge looked like. Is this how it starts? Is this how people began to disappear under Lenin?
Perhaps you could know better than most commenters: is there such a thing as drugs that can cause a heart attack in an otherwise normal person? Something that could be slipped in a drink and work while one was walking home - or could take weeks to have its effect?
ReplyDeleteI imagine those would be in the toolkit of the black ops folks.
There are a lot of drugs that can cause death through heart failure. Totodotoxin (TTX) is a good example. It is the venom of the puffer fish. It works to stop the ventricles (the lower half of the heart) by blocking the fast acting sodium channels. Its effects are nearly instant, though.
ReplyDeleteI seem to remember a slow acting poison that would cause lethal heart rhythms, but I cannot remember the name. I am certain that it could be done, and for black ops, you would also have to ensure that the chemical would leave no telltale markers behind that a coroner would likely be looking for.
That is why heavy metals and drugs that alter electrolyte levels don't work, because heavy metals leave banding on the fingernails, and electrolyte imbalances would leave abnormal lab results that are easily detected.
Still, I think this is possible. I'm just not sure that it is likely, but as I said, it is technically feasible, and a possibility that would make you wonder..
Your first example, TTX, reminds me of the blue-ring octopus used in Michael Crichton's book, State of Fear. these I think. (Not my picture, just an image search).
ReplyDeleteBrrr....somebody else that had the same thoughts as I.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this death, and hasn't there been a couple of other conservatives that just died, wasn't a black ops strike. Lots of paranoia I know but still......
