“Unhappy it is, though, to reflect that a brother’s sword has been sheathed in a brother’s breast and that the once-happy plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?” - George Washington, 1777

Why does the elevator in a building with only two floors need a button for each floor? Why can't there just be one button labelled "Not this one?"
I work in a building like that and have been saying something like that for years. Why have a button at all? If someone gets in there, they want to go to the other floor. Sense when there's weight in the elevator and go to the other floor.
